You've got to feed him in real time, but then the game time is not aligned with each region's actual time zone. There's supposedly a clock in the game to let us know what time it is in game world, but I never found it......It isn't crucial though, because the meal time is just a bonus event which doubles the guy's energy level. If you miss the meal time then you'll just have to wait for the energy level to slowly build up...
