karenedI just read this disturbing piece of news in the Straits Times...
Actually, I've heard about it from my mom last night already..but...to see the pictures...
There was a murder case at my block of flats last night. Not at the block next to mine, bu the block I'm staying in. It seems like it was a tiff between the husband and wife at around 4 am, and then, it ended with the wife's body being found at the ground floor of the block. A few people witness the fall, but no one really knows what exactly happened. There were bloodied handprints at the highest floor (13th floor), as well as at lift landings and inside the lift also. That was why my mom told me not to take the lift up if I were to go home yesterday night.
Well, I'm kinda scared to go home now. =/
And my mom asked me not to take lift back up. My godmom asked me not to go home at all, because the Chinese Ghost Festival is coming soon, and they're superstitious lah. But, I'm a bit scared too. AND, she says that my mom heard from the block residents that the deceased woman was pregnant. And so, the image of a Pontianak comes to mind.
But that aside...it's a knock to fantasy. Because we've been fed with happy romance and love stories...but then, how many of such eternal love actually exist?

I really love this quote. You can see this as it was meant to be seen as; a girl 'professing' to a guy who don't qute share her feelings. But there's another way to see it. Isn't it so true of our fandom? Us fans may be just one out of a million in their fanbase and they may never ever know who we are. They'll simply refer to all of us as fans collectively and never get to really know us personally. Despite that truth that every fan knows deep inside, we're still doing what we can for our idols and supporting them with the smallest act.
True love, our fandom, their personalities. Everything, is actually a result of what we choose to believe. Sometimes, it's really hard to give a definite, because even things you see right before you may not be entirely true. ne?

I read the news this morning...it seems the woman really is pregnant? Sigh..
as for true and eternal love, I'm not a believer in true love being natural but I believe it's possible if people give and take (ah but actually if people truly love each other they'll be willing to forgo their egos to give in to the other party at times)...so yes, I think I have faith in mankind's potential to truly love other human beings, but sometimes...it just all goes wrong :(

i read the articles too... quite scary... the other murder at whampoa the DJ thats stabbed... thats quite near my house... and i was just thinking in my head :"what the world coming into..?!" so many murder in 1 day.... ?!

It's heartbreaking (in a sense) how we can be *almost* sure that we will never meet our idols. We defend them when someone makes fun of them, we buy their singles even if we don't have money, and we save up our money so we can go to Japan someday -- even if it means we won't be eating any real meal for the next year or so... Sigh... the reality of fangirling, sinking in.
