Subbing is one tough job...

Random rantings, not related to Arashi at all..

Seriously, they should get paid. XD My friend was telling me the other day how she is so thankful to all those people who sub doramas and animes and then upload them onto viedo-sharing sites. I didn't think much about it, because I don't usually watch such clips online. I buy the dvd instead. And so, I couldn't really fully understand her feelings.

Plus, I'm always doing translation work, and it didn't feel too bad...It was tedious, but it wasn't really very bad. At that time, I've only subbed one video before, and it was only 30 minutes. It took me a good couple of hours to translate. =.= Yes, I am slow...>_<

But I can now (quite) fully understand it. My gosh I don't know how people can sub an entire dorama. O.O I just finished translating a 45 min episode and I feel so tired I am having trouble typing. I spent 6 hours at it. Without any break. And now I still have to edit it, because it's a team-effort, so every name, phrase, title has to be consistent.O.o The worst part is translating poems..how to translate it without losing the meaning and the flowery language?!

The bottomline is, subbing is an extremely tedious process, especially if the team is small (or worse, just one person doing everything). So you can be sure I will thank the subber from the bottom of my heart the next time I watch a subbed video (if I ever download one).

Ok, back to editing! Man, I really have to learn to translate faster!!!
