Finally.

Like, finally!

I was worried that any plans for a Dome DVD would be shelved because of the earthquake and the need to save electricity by cutting down on manufacturing and production (? weird thought..but you know, a fangirl is always worried, especially a Virgo one.)

Well, actually, we're not even sure if they'll actually release a Dome version!

Well, I'm overjoyed, but at the same time disappointed that it's not the Ohno birthday bash day. Why, oh why... Was the all last much more exciting? Oh well...

As for the album, not that excited for it yet. lol.

Had intended to come up with a simple map, but it got so elaborate that I decided it deserves a post of its own.

PLEASE DO NOT REPOST WITHOUT PERMISSION. It's a lot of time taken so I don't want it taken out. Just link back if necessary.

Disclaimer: This was drawn based on my memory, which is known to be quite bad. But I think it's at least 90% accurate.

[EDIT 2] I just recalled that the 'AU shop' isn't really an AU shop, but a phone shop, that sometimes has AU posters on the display shelves. lol...but I'm lazy to change so do take note!

Maybe I'll add text directions when I'm free (like when? T.T) but in case you need any, here's the thread witha set of very messy directions I rushed out just now (including links to some photos).

[EDIT] Argh, horrible! Why did my text become so blur after uploading? GRRRRH..
THANKS [livejournal.com profile] javvie for the advice! I shunbian added a few people onto the pavement in case people don't get what the grey patches are. lol! Plus fun for those who get the fandom jokes built into those people!

Last day in Tokyo!

Made last min plans to meetup with Cass and pass her the Ohno shop photo and we decided to visit the JFC. Or rather, I dragged poor her along with me in search of the, as she put it, "basement".

Oh before that we had lunch at a really good sushi place. Not too expensive, and the food was really fresh. I love the tamago roll. ^_^

And then, we walked around trying to find the JFC. Was quite a failed attempt, although we managed to make it eventually. So, for the benefit of the generations after us....here're some photos to hlep you find your way to that basement. XP

I'm more of a JR person, so this is coming from a JR point of view.

Directions to the shrine called Johnnys Family Club. )

YAY!! All that work for a small squeezy basement. Oh well. It's like a pilgrimage. Afterall, like what Cass said, SMAP (and I'm sure the respective idols we have - gosh, how aptly named?!) are like GODS. haha.

Inside the shrine... )

We left the JFC feeling satisfied (maybe not for Cass, but hey girl! GANTZ's difficult to hit so don't get too disappointed! There's still GANTZ 2! haha!) and went magazine hunting all the way to Shinjuku.

By then I was feeling quite unwell already, because I had caught a cold, so I was cold, feeling heavy headed, and preventing my nose from running. =( Parted and then took the train to meet my family. Well, on the way, I saw the ones to make me feel just a tad better.

Quite a good trip this time, meeting a lot of fan friends. =) Like, finally, someone who sees Yuma the way I see him, and thinks of Meisa as I do! YAY! lol...And of course the amazing concerts! Expensive tickets, but worthed it. I'll continue working hard at work to earn the tickets next year!

Ja ne.

OMG. They're so cute playing telephone on tv! And poor Ohno is ALWAYS bullied by Nino. kekekekek

Just so I don't forget what to watch in the coming months.

Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac
(Screened in Japan in March, starring MakiMatsuken. Just so because it's Matsuken.)
Kaiji 2
(Expected to be screened in Japan in 2011, starring Tatsuya. Excellent directing, tight and exciting plot in first installment.)
GANTZ
(Expected to be screened in Japan in Jan 2011, starring Nino, Matsuken, and dearest Takayuki as a bonus. Not yet a fan of the costume, but the plot sounds promising, and I won't give up the chance to watch 3 of my favourite actors in the same movie. Especially when it's highly likely to be screened in a cinema.)
Ooku
(To be screened in Japan from 1/10, starring Nino and a bit of Maki. JIN has gotten me interested in Japanese period dramas, and made the weird hairstyle more acceptable. The twist in the story seems interesting.)
Hanamikuki
(To be screened in Japan from 21/8, starring Toma, Gakki and Makai Osamu. Plot about long distance love that spans 10 years. from a high schooler to an adult. Looks like a tearjerker, but it'll be worth the tears.)
JIN 2 Opps, not a movie.
(Expected to air in Japan in 2011)

my fellow YB addict.

MY GOSH

We must have been really good this past year, because two of our wishes came true in the past 2 days!

First was arashi-chan all in one dorama together!

And then now, a second OST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There's not a lot of new songs, meaning no extension of the drama, but hey at least I get my JGS's version of "Without a word"!!!

If only the third, an extension of YB, would come true...

Three-and-half came true though. YB's viewership ratings last night broke 11!! I hope it's not just because of the cliff-hanger that led up to ep 11. Otherwise, it might just fall again tonight...

Ok, I'm off to translating ep 11! Halfway done. Arghhhh shouldn't have let my mom dragged me out shopping this afternoon!

My favourite favourite Jun was in it yet I didn't watch the said dorama. Because the female lead didn't look beautiful enough to attract me (but then again, given my experience with still print media, I should have learnt something about their faithfulness to the actual person) and the plot was just too far-fetched.

Now, Korea is making a remake of it. With one of my favourite Korean actor, no less! ARGHHHHHHHHHHH I won't watch it. No way no way. It'll be like betrayal if I watched that and not Jun's.

From dramabeans

SBS’s idol drama You’re Beautiful may only be second in its timeslot (after IRIS on KBS), but its soundtrack is a big hit. Now only a week after its release, it has already sold about 20,000 albums; the day it came out, it was a top seller on all the various online sites (Melon, Dosirak, Mnet).

To give you a sense of what that number means, it is unusual for OST albums to sell more than 10,000 units. The drama’s ratings are modest at best, but the strong sales of the soundtrack point to its status as a solid mania hit. The album was written and produced by Han Sung-ho, who also worked on the dramas Lovers, On Air, and Brilliant Legacy.

With the actors all showing musical talent (two are from idol bands and the other two also sing in the series), some are even wondering whether the idol-group-within-the-drama will pursue activities for real; according to a source with the production’s marketing team, “The viewers want A.N.JELL to perform for real and the members are in accord, so they are currently discussing it. At the moment, their schedules are packed tight so it’s difficult to make a decision. When the drama nears its close, they’ll be able to solidify plans for possible activities.”

Well, I'm still waiting for Jan to come. Wanna buy the OST when I reach Korea...but I've downloaded the album already and it is really addictive, although there're only that few songs (many of them had various versions by different people). The thing is, they CAN sing. JGS is pretty decent for a non-full time singer, and I totally loved his version of 들리나요 in beethoven virus. Hong Gi and Yong Hwa are singers and you know most korean singers, even idol ones, can sing. Surprisingly, Park Shin Hye has a good voice too!!

I totally wouldn't mind, in fact, I hope, that they release another OST/album under the ANJELL name...but I guess it's highly unlikely for an actual group to come out from this because they all have their own commitments outside ANJELL, like FTIsland, which I'm sure is very busy, other other dramas etc...Even if they had some outside-the-drama activities, it'll most probably be short-term.

Aniwaes, I'm surprised that the OST was produced by the same guy who did On Air's, coz I loved On Air's OST to bits too!

A wish come true!

Was saying that even if it didn't come as a bonus to the album, I'll gladly buy if they released one.

I'm so happy.

春有百花秋有月,夏有凉风冬有雪。
若无闲事挂心头,便是人间好时节。
- 胡亭轩 // 无门慧开禅师
Interpretation
There are sweetness and bitterness in the four seasons of life. Regardless of the conditions, if you face them with a positive attitude, and not let trival metters disturb you, you'll be able to appreciate the beauty of life

I just finished watching Tavia's first leading series, Sweetness In The Salt. It got warehoused by tvb and was only aired after Rosy Business won high ratings in HK. What's the link? Well, Rosey Business is 巾幗雄 and Sweetness In The Salt is 碧血鹽. Whatever the reason, I'm glad they aired it for it is such a great show!

I especially liked how it was different from the typical HK period dramas where they have a huge, wealthy family, who hates each other and tried to plot against each other for favour from the man in the house or for money and inheritance. Of course, in SITS, the members of the family all have their weakness. The Aunt is greedy and often steals from home/the shop to earn a quick buck. The Eldest Sister bears a grudge against her father and schemes with her lover to make her father lose face. The Third Brother is a good for nothing who does nothing but visit brothels and waste his time away. The Fourth Sister..well, don't want to talk about her. She's the only person I don't like in this show. But the thing is, at the end of the day, every one of them love the family. It's not the typical "we start off hating each other and only caring about ourselves but something happened and we grew to love each other". It's more of a "we've always loved each other but we still act according to what we want to so long as it doesn't hurt our family too much".

You know, I even liked the greatest villian in the show, because he is still human. In spite of all the bad things he did, he was still human. He looked upon the son of his beloved as his own and taught him everything he knew. It wasn't a plot to raise the kid up to be his pawn. It was to raise him up to assist him, in the wrongdoings

Plus the theme song is really nice, by Steven Ma and Tavia Yeung. Tavia did pretty well, I feel..and the song is really beautiful with fitting lyrics.

According to ST Life, it'll be in cinemas 3rd Dec!

Well, I think I'm going to get the goods on 28th, since they sell all the way till after the con even. Then I won't have to squeeze with all the people on 29th. And if I regret not buying something, I can still buy it on 29th or 30th ne. Gosh...mini uchiwas in the kids' line? Why is there a kids' line even? I count as a kid ne! LOL

Alright now I just need to recall where in the world I saw the uchiwa backing in Singapore!

  2. What's the limit on materials? Are there any? Like no sequins, lite sticks, 3-D items yada yada yada...
  3. Anything else to note?

Arigatou in advance!

I think sensei's drawing really improved alot. Shin, who has been looking better and better as the manga progressed, looks so hot in here. With the 'promise' to focus on the shinkumi relationship in the two extras, I'm really looking forward to the two issues! I've missed the past issue which illustrated their first kiss, but no way am I missing this!

Gokusen Manga to Return in 2 Installments Next Month, Tuesday June 16, 2009 Japan

Kozueko Morimoto revisits manga to mark July movie finale of high school comedy

This year's 13th issue of Shueisha's You magazine has announced on Monday that Kozueko Morimoto's Gokusen high school comedy manga will return in the next two issues, which will ship on July 1 and 15. Morimoto had ended the manga in 2007 after seven years, but she is revisiting the story to mark the July 11 opening of Gokusen the Movie. The movie will serve as the theatrical finale to the three live-action television drama series based on the manga. The upcoming two-part manga side story will center on Kumiko "Yankumi" Yamaguchi — the high school teacher with yakuza ties — and her student Shin Sawada.

Media Blasters released the television animated version of the Gokusen manga in North America from 2004 to 2005. Morimoto has been serializing a new detective manga called Deka Wanko in You magazine since last year.

OMG I'm soooo excited, especially after reading that the two installments will focus on shinkumi. Well well, is our sensei here helping to compensate us shinkumi fans for a lack of that in the movie??? OMG. In the special published outside the books, shin was seen kissing yankumi, or rather, her him. I would so love to see the development from there, the foolish yankumi vs the witty shin! And I know my hopes are too high, but I sorely hoped sensei would continue beyond 2 installments, for after the movie, there seems to be little milestones for her to write about them again.

From here.

With "Gokusen: The Movie" less than a couple months away, a new announcement has revealed that six more actors from the drama's earlier seasons will be returning, including Shun Oguri and Mocomichi Hayami.

The movie is already known to focus on the cast of the show's third season, which aired in 2008. It was previously announced that Yuya Takaki, Haruma Miura, and Yuta Tamamori are part of the main cast. At the end of last month, it was also revealed that the second season's Kazuya Kamenashi was added to the cast.

Now, the number of returning alumni has again increased, adding three students each from the drama's first two seasons. Oguri will represent the first season, along with Yuma Ishigaki and Hiroki Narimiya. From the second season, Hayami will be joined by Teppei Koike and Keisuke Koide.

Although all six played delinquent students in their respective seasons, they have grown up to become respectable members of society. Together with Kamenashi's character, who has become a teacher in training, these graduates will lend their support to the beloved teacher "Yankumi," played by starring actress Yukie Nakama. This movie is said to be Nakama's last time to take on this role.

Filming for the movie finished on May 13. The picture opens in theaters on July 11.
