I hate you, Ohno-san
Mar. 24th, 2010 01:19 amI really hate you,
For making my cry.
Ogura-san built up the mood throughout the episode, asking the members about those events they did back in their C,D,G no Arashi days, and as the member explained to him here and there, it really made me feel "Ah, they've really gone through alot on this series of variety programs ne!"
I'm glad that they refreshed some of the loved segments in the past, like Sho's fail drawings and even Aiba's capsicum experiment. Like what they say, it's like back to where they started, but this time, they will be exploring a different direction from this starting point. Along the way, they will grow as they've done in the past 8 years, return back to this point again as themselves, just better.
At the very end, my heart soured as Ogura-san started his farewell message. But the mood wasn't sustained by Sho, or Jun. But when Aiba came, he brought those tears back in my eyes again as my nose soured. And in his eyes, I see tears welling up too...And came Nino, the usual guy who's straight to the point, realistic yet true. He sustained the mood such that when Ohno gave his farewell message, the emotional build up gotten the better of me and I started crying! It didn't help that Ohno himself was on the verge of tears...Riida always maintained that he found it difficult when he's asked to say some ending comments. But this time round, I guess it just came out naturally.
When he said that he won't sleep, because if he did the episode will end, that was the final straw. I was tearing and tearing. The best line I've heard from Ohno, I feel.
This is totally irrational, I know. Especially since I haven't been following ANS like many others had been doing. I only watch selectively. But....having gone through D no Arashi, G no Arashi, and now ANS, I felt that I could at least understand the attachment both crew and cast had for the series. It was this series that contributed so much to Arashi's growth in character, in their bond and in their popularity. And when I saw even Ogura-san's eyes welling up with tears, I can't help but be affected too.
I'm glad I didn't follow ANS throughout, because I can now go back to catch up those I've missed until I start to get into the new program.
And, for some odd reason, Ohno's ranking has suddenly shot up. I guess it started when I watched the Dream A Live concert fancam last week, where they were singing the final chorus of Life Goes On and everyone else was put in the dark except for Ohno who was put under a spotlight at this particular line. Then I finally caught up with the Odoroki no Arashi 10th Anniversary SP, who Ohno's yasashisa and maturity shone through during that swing inertia experiment. And then now, ANS's farewell message...
Ohno, yappari suki desu.
Arashi no minna, suki.
