涙は流さない その日まで
Namida wa nagasanai Sono hi made

My dear Riida, who's always appalled when he, HE, makes mistakes.

This brought to mind a conversation I had with Cass.

If I'd wanted to fangirl over a true vocally talented singer, I'd have stuck with my Leehom and Mayday instead of venturing into this land of no return. But this very blog post is evidence of my choice to immerse myself into this unique showbiz segment called the Idol market (that has slowly faded in other parts of the world) in Japan. Idols are idols. Why should anyone judge them based on things that they are not meant to do, by definition? They are doing what they ought to do as idols, so that's good enough. To have them go beyond that, and overlap with what other showbiz segments are responsible for, is a bonus.

Am tired and stressed. Going to bed now. Ja ne, dear flist. =)

Finally found time to watch the talk. Here's a very rough translation.

Question: Please tell us how you spent the new year money that Riida gave you this year.

MC: You received new year money from him?
Sho: This is the first time we did. We had a mass gathering after nwe year and when the five of us came together, he said that he'll give out new year money. He gave each of us 10,000 yen in a small new year packet.
MC: I heard that there was some message that came together with it.
Sho: That's right. For me... 'Arigatou' was written on me.
Aiba: Mine had 'Arigatou' written on it too.
Nino: Mine was 'Arigatou' too.
Jun: Mine was different.
MC: Why is that so?
Jun: Mine was 'Shitagokoro'*.
Jun: I don't know why either.
Aiba/Nino/MC: Why was that so?
Ohno: I had the feeling of 'Arigatou' to everyone else but just for Matsujun, there was a feeling of 'Shitagokoro'.
Ohno: So I just felt like writting that.
MC: Does it seem like he has Shitagokoro?
Ohno: It seems like he has it when his face comes to mind.
*a mess of words which I'm lazy to decipher*
MC: So how have you spent the money?
Sho: I've not spent it yet. It's still inside the new year packet the way I received it.
Aiba: I've used it. I went on a vacation with my family, a really short one. I told my mom, "I received this from Riida, so please use it for the vacation expense."
Nino: I used it to pay for home delivery service.
MC: What about the Shitagokoro?
Jun: I...
Sho: Shitagokoro?
Jun: I'm not a Shitagokoro...
Nino: This is Shitagokoro Jun.
Aiba: ShitaJun, ShitaJun.
Jun: ShitaJun, well I spent the money, but to be honest I'm can't remember where I spent it on.
MC: You can't recall?
Jun: Well, there wasn't any money in my wallet. I didn't withdraw cash from the bank. At that time, I saw the Shitagokoro that I received from Riida. So I thought I'll use it and went to put the money in my wallet. I spent it one day.
MC: ShitaJun used it up.

* Shitagokoro = ulterior motive, hidden feelings and thoughts.

Read more (in Japanese) here and here (omg the 2nd is a fellow Juntoshi fan XP)

WIth regards to my previous post, I think Riida was tired? Coz I read on other blogs and went to double confirm, that he also danced a wrong step during the この手に (Kono te ni) part. It's quite unlike our Riida to dance wrongly ne? I hope it's not because of the hectic schedule he has to handle (filming for Kaibutsu, fishing, reading mangas and what not heheh).
