Summary: How Jeremy ended up hatching the Mistletoe Plan at the Christmas party.
Note: This is a prelude to The perfect Christmas date.

It was impossible to shop for he was too engrossed in the conversation between the two high school girls he was trailing. With the throngs of shoppers filling up the legendary streets of Myeong Dong, it doesn't take a master sleuth to eavesdrop on two highschoolers exchanging the latest gossips between purchases. Besides, the chilly winter wind gave him the occassion to wrap a thick neck warmer around his neck, effectively hidding much of his face from the sharp eyes that were part of the spy network called Anjells.

"I will not lose to the multi-coloured irises of those spies!" Jeremy told himself, pulling up the Christmas-themed neck warmer as he minced closer to the two girls.

"It's all crap, I tell you. Tae Kyung oppa can't be gay!" the one with a pair of funky yellow spectacles exclaimed.

The taller one next to her agreed without hesitation, her eyes suddenly lighting up with flames of fury. "Of course! Those photos are too blur to support that rascal's claim! How dare she spread such rumours. I think she had to shut down her blog because it was receiving too much hate mails. Serves her right! I typed a two page long mail to teach her a lesson!"

"But I think that article about the truth behind Yoo He Yi's breakup with oppa wasn't all crap."

Jeremy nearly dropped his bag of Christmas decorations when he heard that. Silently, he took over the spot beside the pair and pretended to browse the myraid of leggings and leg warmers displayed at the stall.

"I don't think it was a mutual breakup," bespectacled girl mused. "My aunt came over last weekend and she claimed to have seen Tae Kyung oppa with a girl near here a few weeks ago."

"A girl? Not Yoo He Yi?" Tall girl grabbed bespectacled girl's arm in alarm.

Pulling tall girl's claws off her arm, bespectacled girl explained urgently, "Yeah. She says she saw that Shin Woo oppa too, and he was kind of trailing that girl. And then after that, she saw the girl again with Tae Kyung oppa."

Jeremy's head raised up at Shin Woo's name and he casted a stare sideways. "Shin Woo hyung? With a girl?" he thought.

"The strange thing is, when my aunt saw the ANJELL poster in my room, she pointed to Mi Nam oppa and said that the girl looked exactly like him, just with longer hair!" bespectacled girl continued.

"Mi Nyu!" Jeremy blurted, but the thick neck warmer muffled his words from being heard by the two unknowing fans.

Tall girl dropped the pair of socks in her hands and gasped. "Oh gosh! A triangle...no! A rectangle relationship! Yoo He Yi, Tae Kyung oppa, Shin Woo oppa, and that girl!"

"You know, I'm thinking that that girl could be the twin sister Mi Nam oppa mentioned at the previous concert," bespectacled girl analysed.

The rest of her words was lost in the buzz from the streets as they started to move away from the stall. Being in the midst of an analysis himself, Jeremy did not notice his targets moving off the radar. "Shin Woo hyung and Mi Nyu...they came here together? On a date?" he mumbled, putting a pair of socks into his palm as several possibilities teased his mind.

[Possibility 1]
Shin Woo trails Mi Nyu along the streets as he wonders if he is mistakened. The girl looks exactly like Mi Nam, but Mi Nam is a male! He wants to run up to her and ask "Are you Mi Nam? Go Mi Nam?" but is worried that doing so will make things difficult for her if she is indeed his fellow bandmate. So, he does nothing but trail behind her.

[Possibility 2]
"Oppa, the last thing on my list is for you to shout that you love me in a crowded place," Mi Nyu chirps as she pulls him towards the middle of the main street of Myeong Dong.

Looking around nervously, Shin Woo asks, "Do I have to do this? People will recognise us!"

"But I swore to do these when I get a boyfriend!" Mi Nyu replies with a disappointed look that soon turns into an angry frown. "Fine, I'll get Jeremy to do it with me!"

With that, Mi Nyu turns away and soon disappears into the crowd. Left with no other choice, Shin Woo shouts in a voice loud enough for her to hear, "Go Mi Nyu, I love you! You're my woman! Don't go to another person!"

[Possibility 3]
Mi Nyu and Shin Woo walks down the main street of Myeong Dong hand-in-hand, ignoring the curious stares and screams from the crowd walking in tandem with them. Suddenly, Shin Woo pulls Mi Nyu to a stop and turns to face her. Taking his hat off, he looks at her tenderly and swoops in for a kiss.

"What are you doing?"

Jeremy looked up to see an angry, poorly-shaven face in front of him. "Are you going to buy them all?"

It was then that he realised that the two girls had disappeared while he was lost in his thoughts. Putting down the dozen of socks he had since gathered on his palm, Jeremy grabbed his bag of shopping, mumbled a brief apology and set off in search of the two girls, bobbing in and out of the crowd. Fortunately for him, tall girl was an easy target and he soon spotted them standing in front of the Christmas decorations store he had earlier patronised. Stealthly, he took three big steps towards the street kerb just behind the two and continued his top secret mission.

At this moment, tall girl expressed her sense of relief. "Thankfully Jeremy oppa isn't involved in this! He's mine!"

"But remember that radio show? Jeremy oppa seemed to be crying as he sang."

"Are you suggesting that he was crying because of that girl?!"

Sweeping his eyes along the rows of shops lining the street at a feigned leisure pace, Jeremy stole a look at the smart girl who had deciphered the clue right.

Bespectacled girl shrugged. "Beats me. But I won't let her off if she makes any of our oppas upset."

"Upset? But Mi Nyu makes us all happy! Well, at least she makes me happy," Jeremy thought, recalling the numerous occassions where Mi Nyu had made him feel like he had just returned from yet another celebratory party. There was the time where they organised a party to cheer her up from the bad news regarding her mother, the time where they went to the supermarket together, the time where they played badminton together... "Wait. I don't have a happy memory of my own. Those were shared with Shin Woo hyung and Tae Kyung hyung," Jeremy realised.

His heart sank as he recalled the only vivid memories that he shared with Mi Nyu: The two times he rode his treasure bus with Mi Nyu. "We don't have much memories together... Shin Woo hyung had gone on a date with Mi Nyu, and Tae Kyung hyung is planning for his official date at the party. What about me?" Jeremy mumbled, his shoulders drooping.

Just then, a song started to blast from the speakers hung above the store entrance.

"I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus, underneath the mistletoe last night. She didn't see me creep down the stairs to have a peep..."

Following the source of the melody, Jeremy craned his neck upwards and spotted a particular decoration. He grinned as inspiration struck. "I'll create a piece of memory of my own, before Tae Kyung hyung makes an official claim," he told himself as he walked past tall girl and entered the store with a bounce in each step taken.
