10-11 Tokyo Dome 19/11/2010

No full concert report, because I suck at those and I'm sure someone else can write a much better one.

But I'm gonna just jolt down what I can remember from the day.

 

I reached Suidobashi station at around 450, and decided to stop by  public toilet before heading to the Dome. It was a long queue, but the shop near the toilet had Pikanchi on repeat so the wait wasn't that bad. When I finally reached Dome, it was already 535. Was actually supposed to meet jazzinjuly to pass her tsuriken and jan's Tees, but it was quite impossible to locate her so I gave up and went in.

Now that the con over, I can show my seat location!

But there's good and bad points about that seat, as I'll discuss later. The photo above will return later!
On my left were two Ohno fans! One was constantly taking notes during the concert, I think for compiling the setlist and for the MC highlights. On m right was an Aiba fan! She was really vocal. So, if you hear a lot of "aiba-chan!!!!" in the recording, you know where it came from haha! But it's good coz she made me more vocal about my 'Jun-kun' and 'Oh-chan' and 'Sho-kun' and 'Nino' and 'Aiba-chan' too. hehe.

Concert started at 6 sharp. I'm not going to write any setlist because shokim has written it up here.

All I can remember of Love Rainbow was that the stage was very colourful and I loved it. =P Maybe I was too excited to remember anything?

I was quite surprised to hear Attack It because I thought it belonged to the 10th anniversary side...but since they didn't do A.Ra.Shi, could this song be the replacement song to represent them in their 11th year onwards?

Sho's solo was hot. Really. We were treated with top naked Sho on the big screen. I loved the part where the lyrics overlap. On the screen were 2 images of Sho facing each other as they sang/rapped each line. And then, the two got closer and closer....for a moment I thought the two images were about to kiss! haha...But still, that was my 5th fav solo performance for the night.

Ohno's solo. How should I put it....I didn't see a 'breakthrough'. It was enjoyable and sleek, but not awe-inducing. In fact, I caught a movement similar to his Song For Me one (here, at around 2:23). But in any case, I stood very still and kept quiet as I listened. Ohno never fails to touch me with his voice! 4th fav solo!

Then Nino solo came next ne. OMG it was sooo soooo soooooooooooooo cute. The set was colourful and had cute props like gigantic balloon. Of course, Nino was dressed in cute puffy/baggy checkered pants. I think during the bridge part or something, he from the main stage up the steps. Because the steps were quite high, he had to raise his legs up high. But the baggy pant made it hard to do so, so he was like...how should I put it..........a penguin from the backview? Swaying a little from side to side. Really cute I tell you. And of course, our Nino is a master when it comes to acting cute. Winks were aplenty, so were cute hand actions. During the last "I love you" part, the back dancers formed a heart by standing along the steps of the main stage. They wore red tops and white bottoms and it was a pretty sight. And Nino made us sing 'lalalalala' along with him. Kawaii! 2nd fav solo!

And oh oh! After Nino's solo, Carnival Night came on and the carts (? What's the name for that big big structure they get on?) started to come around. It was really exciting, because the boys were really, really near. Like.. less than 5 metres away! But the bad thing about being so near them is that they seldom look downwards, focusing more on eye level...of course, we shout and scream for attention, and they do look at us. I managed to catch their eyes...all except for Ohno! He was ALWAYS looking at eye level argh. That once or twice he did look down, he was already past my area.  Really sad, because he did a lot of fan service! Once, he was at the block next to mine and I saw him fish someone up LOL.

Anyway, so the carts came by and stopped.

Aiba for the leftmost stands, Sho right in front of us!!, Jun, Ohno and lastly Nino.

Then, SHO FANSERVICE!

At the end of Carnival Night, just before One Love started, he did the heart shape gesture to us! You know, the Kpop one where they put both arms over their head to form a heart shape? He was so cute doing that and smiling. I nearly fainted.

During the start of One Love, I caught Sho looking at Aiba and then laughing. Took no notice of it, but this made a comeback during the MC!

Jun's cart was at the center of the hall during the song, and I was trying so hard to get his attention! He didn't look over much, but he was doing the hand gestures for the song so I felt quite happy to be watching him and learning the movements from him. <3 When it was Jun's solo portion, Sho did a big "douzo" introduction gesture, directing our attention towards his cart! So cute ne.

Near the end of One Love, the carts started moving again and I managed to catch Jun's eyes YAY. She was smiling so brightly! And then Hadashi no Mirai came up and he took out a half-length mic stand and stuck it to the railing of his cart. I realised during this song that for some parts of the song, the hand gestures were animated on the screen! What a great way to include new fans ne. Jun's idea maybe?

I think this must be the very few times they actually sang Fight Song properly. I was joking with friends that Fight Song was just an excuse to play around during concerts. For Fight Song they went back to the main stage. =( But the song was high tension!

Then the MC came on. Can't remember much of it, but I've got it recorded so I'll just listen to it when I'm free. XPJust a few highlights, hopefully I didn't remember them wrongly:

1. Sho made fun of Aiba saying how engrossed Aiba was doing the hand gestures during One Love. You know, the one where they move their left hand in a quarter-circle from their head downwards? Sho was saying that he looked at Aiba during that and saw him totally into the song. XD In fact, he was wondering if Aiba would wave to the fans while doing that action. But Aiba didn't. In fact, he was still waving to fans when that part came up, and in a split second, he got into the song and did that movement. Suddenly, switch on!
2. Aiba said that Jun made a mistake during Love Rainbow but it seemed like it was Aiba who made a mistake instead. Because they were to do the dance on the center stage. (if I didn't remember wrongly), Jun was to stand in the front row, and Aiba in the second row, at Jun's 4 o'clock position. But Jun forgot about that during the formation and walked straight towards the AIba'sposition on the rightmost of the stage instead. So, Aiba thought that he had made a mistake with the position and wondered what to do, to just follow Jun? But as he walked, Jun suddenly stepped away and back into the formation position, making it seem like Aiba was the one who made a mistake!

   According to Jun, he had indeed made a mistake. He got a bit high and started to walk towards the hanamichi, but right before he went off, he suddenly realised that he has never seen that scenery before, and stepped back immediately. =P

3. Ohno made a mistake (sort of) during his solo. After spinning a round, he ended up losing his sense of direction. He was supposed to face the front, but he ended up facing the back. Then, upon realising that his face was shown on the screen in front of him, he quckly spun half a round back. XP
4. Another mistake by Jun! During one of the songs, he was supposed to stand facing Arena block 11, but he ended up at block 12, so he had to shift inwards to block 11 as he danced, so it looked awkward (like sweeping his feet in tango style). Since Jun was doing that, Nino, who was closer to the center stage had to follow suit to match that movement.
5. During the part where they had to board the cart after Nino's solo, they were standing by below the carts. Right before the carts came out, Aiba, who was walking in circles on the cart, suddenly got his switch 'on' and went 'yoshi!'...argh I don't know how to explain this! Yeah..switch on.
6. Aiba concealed himself at the stairs, under the stage, so that the audience can't see him before the entrance. But somehow, his eyes met the eyes of fans from above. Sho then asked if those fans did see him, and the whole hall became silent. It was so funny when Sho realised that there was no way the fans can reply him!
7. Sho talked about being touched during the end of the 1st episode of Freeter, when their song played. And Nino teased Sho about being touched by the ending credits instead of the fact that Seiji-kun was working hard. In the end, Nino thanked Arashi for singing the song. It was done in a quite formal way, like Nino wasn't part of the people singin the song. Hehe!
8. Nino joked about having the song performed live for the final episode's ending. And Sho joked that they'll do it in the living room of Seiji-kun. They'll do it in the new house that Seiji-kun bought. But Nino protested that it'll be weird that 5 strangers be in the house that Seiji-kun worked so hard to buy. AIba when suggested them bbq-ing in the house haha!
9. Sho later went through Nino's schedule for the week. And he got teased about being Nino's manager! That was just a lead up to the introduction of GANTZ's release next Jan! That was followed  by the long running skit of playing with GANTZ's title.
10. They also touched on Sho's movie (of which I cannot remember the name). Sho joked (?) that they'll film a part 2 just like GANTZ. That's in spite of the 'first' part not having a 'part 1' attached to the title of the movie.
11. Because the new act wasn't ready yet, Aiba was tasked to continue with the MC. But he had trouble describing the 'pad' that Jun brought to the hall, so Nino cut him short and moved on to the next act.

KAIBUTSU-KUN!

After the song, Kaibutsu-kun told his underlings not to move from their formation (but of course, when he turns his back against them, they moved as usual). One was even holding an Ohno uchiwa! He brought it next to Ohno's face to compare, but our prince of course wouldn't admit to resembling a human ne. It was also quite funny when the underling went back and even kissed the Ohno uchiwa. During the banter with Arashi, Ohno was trying really hard not to laugh. =P

I really love the dance for Don't Stop and Refrain. Maybe it was their costume. White with flowing robes. There was a lot of leaping and spinnng in the air, so the robes would fly. There was also this part (can't remembr of which song) where they stood in a row and did movements in a domino-effect across as the spotlight moved. Ohno was on stage left (not sure who was at the other end, but it wasn't Jun). So the movement started with him, moved across, and then back to him again. He was really graceful I tell you. I can't wait to rewatch this part on dvd!

Dear Snow. Now, tell me that Arashi lipsyncs much in concerts. I. So. Love. Nino's. RAW. Voice. And at the part where Nino went solo "Anata ga nozomu nara, kono mi wo sasageyo", Ohno did such a big fanservice. He just pointed to a fan all the way and looked at her directly!!!

Come Back To Me was really fun. And from that, I could kind of see how much effort Jun put into creating his concert solo. It was so fun to watch. It started with the main menu of a game. Jun then appeared as a character in the game. There were giant rocks flying towards him from the left of the screen and he was to avoid those obstacles as he transversed acrcoss. Near the middle, a gem with Nino's face (GOSH!!!) appeared and he knocked into it, earning 1 life! When he finally cleared the stage, the solo starts. As he got lowered to the main stage, he threw a peace sign. <3 What a cute man. I really really found back my love for this boy! OMG his costume was so out of the world. But yet, it suited him! Somehow. Loved the sunglasses he wore, and the cap too. This was one performance that I looked at the screen more than at the actual person. They applied this matrix like effect to the video. You know those holographic pictures that 'move' as you shift the position of your eyes? Yeah, Jun's dance movement looked like that. Very futuristic, especially with all the green laser beams going around. His dance was good too! Cute, but not too 'act cute'. I think he chose a good solo song, because his nasal voce totally suited the song! I cannot imagine Ohno singing this song, because the techno-effect will just sound odd with Ohno's full voice. My 1st fav solo! Finally, a Jun solo I love!

But, although I love that performance, I didn't finish watching it.

Because.

Something happened at where I circled green.

Some movement.

Someone in leopard prints.

AIBA-CHAN APPEAREDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.

What luck!

What luck!

He appeared, and moved swiftly to the moving stage (which was moved to the stands as the rear stage, the black circled area) while bending low to avoid being noticed. Then he moved up the stage and waited for his solo turn. At the start, he wore this very big pair of sunglasses with text/graphic flashing on the shades. Then, before the singing part came, he took it off and threw it......to the staff. T.T Omg he was dancing like..10m away from me!!!!!!!!! I went crazy (along with the Aiba fan next to me), shouting for Aiba-chan!  Three things I love about the solo:
- the firework explosion at the start. It gave me a big shock, because it was right in front of us! Big surprise!
- the hand action during "magical song". Something like the gesture for a bird's beak? haha go watch the dvd! It's really cute and my fav action.
- Aiba's coat! Omg it's so so futuristic, like Jun's. The edge/seams are lined with lights (as were the costumes of the backdancers) and at the back of the coat was a magician's hat made from the light sticks too. So, much of the dance was done in the dark because of the need to show those designs.

After the song, the staff used a small torch/handphone to light up the steps for Aiba-chan to get down, and he ran back to the same entrance he came from. <3 So close! He was just under my feet!

But one thing was that because he was so near, I could see his face very clearly. His mouth as off-timing with the voice, and while I attributed that to the sound system and the vastness of the place, there was a nagging thought about lipsyncing. Though I'd thnk that Johnnys have much better lipsyncing skills than this! So it was great relief when the same thing happened when Arashi sang other songs on the rear stage later and the same issue happened.

I don't remember anything about LSS, but I remember that at the start of Kotoba Yori Taisetsu na Mono, Nino's cart was near me, and I saw him really enjoying himself, laughing, waving, throwing his arms and legs around during the introduction. Like, just fooling around and having fun. I so love this side of Arashi.....who cares about stupid rumours?!

Circus must be one of my fav group performance. Well, other than the costume of course. I loved it because:
- Sho's introduction of the song was done in English. In good English, much better than I had expected! More about this later.
- Jun and AIba did the MJwalk together!
- The screen effect was good. There was this part where Ohno flew up with an umbrella, right in front of the screen. Behind him, on the screen was a long, winding corridor, so it seeme like Ohno was flying through the corridor. I really liked that effect.
Sho and Jun shared a cube, while Ohno and Aiba shared the other. Nino was alone. Can we deduce from this that those who shared a cube have similar weight?

Monster. Nothing much to say about this, except that I'm so glad I finally got to see the whole dance!!

I really liked Nino's stage greeting. One phrase that stayed with me was "It's a great power that everyone is trying so hard to...listen to this talk". Again, more on this later. He also joked about Aiba's costume looking odd as it lights up, but Aiba protested, saying that he looked good in them.

At the end of Sora Takaku, the 5 boys lined up and walked back from the center stage to the main stage. Sho (I think) who was standing on the leftmost put a hand on the next person's shoulder, and that person did the same..all the way to Ohno. Ohno then put his hand on Jun's waist (JUNTOSHI!). Jun put his hand on Ohno's shoulder in return. Abou middleway back to the stage, they stopped, bowed and then separated as they moved on at heir own pace. But Jun and Ohno walked a little bit together, hands on each others waist. <3 hehe My Juntoshi moment!

The encore entrance was really cute. All 5 had changed into their concert tees and had a relaxed look. As the 'door' opened to reveal them, we see them in a formation, acting cool. You know, like teenage boys posing cool.

They went on the carts again, and at Kitto Daijoubu/Happiness, Sho's cart passed by us (eye contact again!) and it was kinda bumpy, so Sho's cart jerked a bit. He balanced himself by putting his arm against the railing, but I guess it hurt because he examined the forearm quickly. Luckily it was nothing serious! PHEW.

Too little encore this time round. =( Jun announced the final song of the day, Hatenai Sora. AT the very end, while leaving the stage, Sho blew us a kiss. <3 I think he's improving in terms of fanservice hehe.

This is totally random, but I just can't remember which song it belonged to! During one song, the boys were on the carts, and Nino's stopped in front of us. He got down and went on the rear stage, where Jun and Aiba were already on. Then the next song played, and Jun and Nino were teasing Aiba, signalling to us that Aiba's gonna sing. But he didn't (and he seemed happy about that), because it was actually Ohno's turn! But Aiba was looking at the screen, so perhaps he nearly made the mistake?

For another song, Aiba was at the rear stage, and he was jumping like crazy. Really jumping non-stop, and very high up! Made us all get very high too. He's really energetic!

And that was it. After the concert ended, I kind felt lonely. I had  con buddy last year, to rave and fangirl with. But this time round, I was quite alone. Bought some goods which I left out before leaving Dome. I was actually quite envious of people who managed to take so many of the silver tapes with the concert tour name printed. Our seat, although good, was covered by a net. So, all those confetti flew towards us...but were kept out by the net. Only a few pieces made it through the net. It was quite frustrating, and a few people at the front tried to reach for thoe that landed along the edge of the walls, on the other side of the net. While walking out, I saw a fan giving another an extra tape. Kind fans!

I managed to only get the stars. It was really...reaching for the stars..because the stars fluttered down, and I reach out to grab them. lol. One hit my head before falling down. Starstruck, literally.


The net..yes, the net. No matter how close we try to get to the boys, here's always a gap ne. They're people we cannot reach.

Thinking along those lines, it got a bit lonely. Lonely standing outside the Dome alone, lonely saying goodbye to Arashi, lonely watching people fangirl and taking photos. I helped some take photos, and got asked if I was an Ohno fan, because of my clothes. Lol. Kind fans, and the fellow Ohno fan helped me take a photo too!
 

Aniwae, I do have hopes of a global invasion by Arashi. Because:
- Sho spoke in English...perhaps to address the non-Japanese fans he knew was present?
- Nino mentioned about fans trying hard to listen to their stage greetings. Perhaps due to the understanding that there are non-Japanese-speaking fans there?
- JE is opening up, setting up International web service, opening trial balloting for Kinki's concert, sending more and more people for overseas concerts.

SERIOUSLY, JOHNNY-SAN IF YOU WANT TO MILK ARASHI, SEND THEM ON AN INTERNATIONAL TOUR BEFORE THEY OVERLIVE THEIR PEAK!

Ahahahha, Fight Song, I talked with my sister, that the only reason they would do Fight Song, is to just let them to play around in the stage, coz it would be a wonder if they actually sing it full without any stop nor joke around XDDDDDDDDD
From your writing, Aiba-chan really really seems like a super high spirited guy XDDD in whatever condition he might be and can influence others the same feeling so fast :P
And concert master did some mistake ne? XDDD And he's so cool in undirectly confessed about it , totally the opposite as Aiba-chan XDDD
