I knew I shouldn't have started.

One of my greatest discovery made in 2010 was an actor called  Mukai Osamu (向井理), from Atashinchi no Danshi (also starring Maki, and forgive me for saying that the ShoxMaki pairing and ShunxMaki pairing never got to me the way MukaixMaki pairing did in that drama).

So, when asked by Jen which other Japanese actors I like, I had to bring him up right? And that led to her telling me how big a thing Mukai is right now, after the hit morning (short) drama Gegege no Nyobo.

But after learning the number of episodes that drama had, I told myself I had no time, and brushed it off. Afterall, it was set in 'premodern' times, a period I don't particularly like for dramas.

But over the weekend, I got bored, and decided to watch just one episode or two. And the rest is history.

Now I'm addicted. But I'm stuck.

I can't find subs beyond ep 36 T.T, and the non-standard Japanese they're using is taxing my already fatigued brain.

In a way, it's a blessing, I guess.

But MUKAI!! He's so cute even when he tries to act 40. lol.

I promied myself to sleep at 10 last night, to prepare for work today.

In the end I ended up watching till 3am!

And the thing is, each ep is so short, I keep thinking, "Ah, just another ep lah...only 15 mins wad...."

Oh, I was browsing around and saw on its official pg that they had 3 'SPs' on the 3 days leading to new year? Each was 68 mins long yo! Was I dreaming??

AAHHHHHHH it's so addictive. But tell me if Mukai gets swopped for an older actor when we advance further into the plot, when they start to age.

That's great! You know, I was really angry with chibi-Fumie (KYAA Aiba chan LOL) when she told that Yoshimoto-san to call off the omiai so that her sis will return. But then, I understand where she's coming from, just that she's too young to act out her intentions properly, so I couldn't get too angry. Well, at least she redeemed herself later. =)

I'm waiting for the day where Shigeru and Fumie realise that they had met once in that forest when they were still young!!!

Go watch Atashinchi no Danshi! Eyecandy everywhere. And Osuma's character is really endearing. And his romance with Maki is too cute!

Oh, I watched Meichan after Atashinchi, so I was kind of biased and didn't really feel much anger towards Osamu's character. Plus, I have a fetish for guys/giirls with their hair dyed white/bleached. heh

Very long! Coz I think it's an autobiography of the female lead!! But come to think of it, about 150 eps with 15 mins each is equivalent to about 37 regular eps which is................er....ok. Long. lol! But it's about the same as an average long family korean drama I guess.

Yet it's cut into so many short eps that we don't feel the drag. Just nice for breakfast!

I watched Atashinchi too (Mukai! Kaname! LOL @ the Arashi mentions) but I'm surprised no one noticed Mukai from earlier. I noticed him from none other than Bambino.

Haha to be honest, I don't remember much about Bambino other than Jun trying to make some dessert for fatigued customers, but ended up being chided for making it too soft. haha! It wasn't my cup of tea, that show.

Oh, did you watch the closing of Atashinchi? That Masaru (?) guy did the signature head gesture of his Daichi character from Hanakimi ne! It was laughing so hard at it.

At least he gets his big break now. Some people will never be more than just supporting actors. Sometimes I wonder how they expect someone to show off their acting when they are barely onscreen or have one line but sometimes, even like that, they can stand out to me.

Haha yes, I remember watching a lot of his CMs on tv....regarding some electronic products. I think some LCD tv screen. Haha, it was so casually done, I really liked it. Strangely, I didn't catch as much Arashi CMs while I was there. *shrugs*
