Went back to office today and heard that many of my colleagues, who had just bought tour packages to Japan a week ago (for May/Jun/Jul trips), are intending to cancel the trip. It's mainly due to worries of the radioactive fallout.

Ganbatte, Japan. It'll be a tough recovery for the economy, but you can do it, just like you did after the war.

On a side note, I'm currently on job at a Japanese company, and right outside the room I'm using is a endorsement poster by Japan's ice skating princess. She looks so confident and beautiful in there. I hope the rest of Japan will also muster the courage and confidence to rebuild their lives.

I'm hesitating to donate via the various efforts on the communities, because I want to donate with my nation. Nationalism?

On the contrary, I don't trust my nation's way in handling donation........... I'm applying for credit card, easier to donate with it...maybe (never uses paypal or any online system >< )

hi! how's your situation there? oh God, i broke down when i read that there was another earthquake and it's near Fuji-san? =( also i saw your translation of Arashi's recent jweb message.. and i was wondering if i repost it in facebook? just to share their encourage for everyone there.. ah, also, aside from all the fund raising out there.. my friends and i also came up with something for everyone who are not that financially stable, it may not be much but I hope even for a bit, it lessens the pain and anxiety of everyone there.. we've been tweeting here and there, hoping that it would reach everyone in japan. http://ganbarrenihon.tumblr.com
