[livejournal.com profile] jazzinjuly  had previously brought it up. Angel and Yen had shared similar sentiments.

Now, listening to the top 100 Oricon 2010 list made me feel the same again.

Perhaps K8 will become the next big thing in JE.

Their voices aren't the most alluring, but their songs transformed from wacky and fun in previous years to singable and catchy in 2010. And don't get me started on their PVs.

This is my predictation for 2011-2012. Let's see how it turns out.

Is their new stuff good again, then? :O

I used to be really fond of them back when I was into JE around 2003-2005, and their stuff was fun to listen to even if on the whole none of them can really sing. Then in 2006 they came out with Osaka Romanesque/Osaka Obachan Rock and afterwards it's just been crazy, whacky stuff that I couldn't listen to.

LOL right when I typed this, a K8 song came on. Maybe it's a sign.

Won't say if it's good again, since it differs for each person. But for me, with their latest singles, it seems like they're heading more towards mainstream. I enjoyed their wacky, fun songs of the past, but those weren't the ones I'll keep on playing.

Yup, don't think they can sing very well, but they are idols, so I forgive them. If I'm in the mood for seriously good singing, I'll turn to someone else. XP

Haha, which song came up?

Of all their songs from the Oricon chart 2010, I enjoyed these most (omg, that's more than half of the list!)

Minus 100 Do no Koi (live): sound effect may not be very good though.
Because I don't know how to embed tudou videos!

Snow White (live)
See above.

Fuyu Koi (mp3)

I Wish (piano by fan): Argh I really like this song, but can't find a streaming link! So here's the piano version, just for you to listen to the melody.

Ending with my favourite, with a PV to prove how much dough Uncle Johnny is investing in the group,

Me no Mae no Mukou (PV): Very very cool, love the lighting.
Once again, link to tudou

Since it's turning into a K8 video post of some sort, I'll end with...

1) Old wacky Kanjani
It's my soul - the PV was hilarious! Have you watched it before?

2) The evergreen
Heavenly Psycho

3) Forever my favourite solo in K8
Mamoritai by Okura (live)

BONUS
Omg! Just discovered this!! Ryo singing Utada's First Love. Too cute.
