I cried when Nino said, "It's entertainment (showbiz) to surpass each other."
And more when he continued, "We're lucky to be even considered as the benchmark."
And then laughed when he said, "But there won't be any though."
As the newscaster said, that is so Nino.
But he is right. There won't ever be anyone who can surpass Arashi. And I don't mean sales etc.
It's the whole experience of learning with them, learning from them, and learning through them.
I love them so much.
Thank you Arashi for the beautiful memories.
Enough of my rambling. Translation under the cut.

All the sports newspapers today featured Arashi. Sports Nippon has the title "From Arashi To You". With 6 days to go before their hiatus, the members sent message to their fans through interviews from the 6 sports newspapers.
This is from Sankei Sports asking if there will be another group which will surpass Arashi in the future, Ninomiya-san responded, "But then, to surpass is what entertainment is about. We're lucky to be even considered as the benchmark. But there won't be any though." That was a Ninomiya-like comment.
Next is Sports Nippon asking, "Looking back at the 21 years you've worked together, Everyone in Arashi loves Arashi ne?" To that, Aiba-san replied, "We cherish Arashi. That's why we had been discussing about this decision since many years ago. We made this choice after everyone's come to an understanding and agreed to it. We wouldn't have come to this conclusion after 21 years if we didn't established the discussion.
There was a "hidden" message to Arashi in the TV column here if you read it vertically.

Sho: Considering the timing, it felt like a good time (to go on the trip).
In the final episode of Arashi ni Shiyagare that will be broadcasted tonight at 7pm, Arashi will go on a trip together for location filming the last time.
In the TV column of the morning Yomiura Shinbun, there was a hidden message. If you read the first character of the column in hiragana, "嵐5、たくさんの笑顔と思い出、ありがとう" (Arashi 5, thank you for the many laughter and memories".
There are 6 days until Arashi's hiatus, if you include today. In this week, there were several big topics embellishing their last days.
Oricon's annual ranking for 2020 was announced the day before yesterday. Arashi achieved 1st place in the total sales by artiste category. Total sales for their CDs and DVDs this year reached JPY14.52b.
Also, there was plenty of Arashi in this week's newspapers. There are special coverages of Arashi's past activities being serialised, written with feelings of gratitude.
Amongst them, Sankei Sports dedicated 1-page to Arashi, covering each member daily this week from 21 to 25 Dec. It also had one page filled with photos since their debut, including previously unreleased photos and past quotes from the members.
For example, Aiba-san appeared on Wednesday's issue. The featured quote was from the letter he wrote to the members during the 24-hour TV in 2004 when Arashi first got appointed as the main personality.
"Our dream to become the top, we must make it come true!"
And yesterday's was Ohno-san. The other 4 persons will continue with solo activities next year. The featured quote for him with regards to hiatus was from the press conference last year where the hiatus was announced.
"Arashi is nothing but my treasure. More than half of my life has been Arashi so it's something that will continue to shine forever."
The Arashi ni Shiyagare episode that will be broadcasted today is the last location shooting with all 5 members together.
With regards to the hiatus, Matsumoto-san asked the members.
"Do you have any thoughts before the hiatus?"
Find out what the members' responses are on the final episode of Arashi ni Shiyagare at 7pm tonight.
Including today, there are only 6 days to their hiatus. (Though it seemed like there is still time), that day is really approaching. Yes, the TV programs that the 5 of them appear in together are also airing their final episodes one by one this week. It's now the countdown to the last day. The special coverage in newspapers will continue to until the hiatus day.
In any case, I will definitely watch tonight's Arashi ni Shiyagare. It's at 7pm.
