[TRANS] 20-yo Jun's letter to 30-yo Jun

Today is the Coming of Age day in Japan. Here is the translation of a letter 20-year-old Jun wrote to himself from 10 years later, published in an old FC newsletter.

To myself from 10 years later.

Nice to meet you, Jun-kun from 10 years later. I am the 20-year-old Matsumoto Jun. Is the 30-year-old Jun-kun enjoying himself? My 20-year-old self is enjoying each day and living earnestly. There are some questions I have for 30-year-old Jun-kun. Please allow me. 

Are you in the entertainment industry? I wonder what type of work you're doing. Are you still working hard as Arashi, as the 5 of you? Are you active? My current self is aiming for the top of the entertainment industry. I also want to be the top amongst idols, of Japan, of the world. I will be working hard earnestly until I reach you. That's why I hope I will be able to become the person I want to be 10 years later. I'm declaring my determination. 

Are you in good health? Your body was never strong so I'm worried, but I think it should be ok? How are your parents and sister? If you're having a fight with them, please make up with them right away. Definitely do that. Are you buying too many clothes? My current self is a little wasteful so I hope to change. How's your personality? I hope it hasn't changed much. Please don't change for the worse. Are you properly greeting people, being grateful, and maintaining politeness? Are you misunderstanding others? That's uncool so please stop it. 

If any of these which I've now written comes true, please be satisfied. Being a perfectionist, there might be things which you may agree with or disagree with. But since you've became the person you wanted to be 10 years ago, it's either congratulations or sorry about it. Although the future may become obvious when you turn 30, I hope you can continue to challenge yourself.

Have you became good at singing? I want to become good at it. I want to speak a foreign language too. To write songs and lyrics, and play the piano. 

Although there are a lot of bothersome things, let's both work hard, for the future. Recently, I've been thinking that it's good to live a long life. Please get along well with the people around you and live happily. You only live once so enjoy your life. I will do my best.
