I'm kinda sad...

Because I had an Arashi meeting/gathering at my place just now, and apparently there's no one who likes Jun. T.T I think I finally come to realise why I'm always putting Jun as ichiban although he's not really my ichiban. In fact, I have no ichibans. At first I thought that it was for convenience sake, because I have to decide on an ichiban when I buy con goods. Since Jun is usually good looking for goods, Tada! Well, that's not to say that I don't like him. I do k, just that my ichiban of the moment is always changing.

However, I think the other reason for me choosing him is because of the lack of love for the youngest! Yeah, I know his con solos are usually very act-cool and over-dramatic, with finger sucking, kisses, clothes off, nasal off-pitch singing and what not. And he doesn't appear on screen to be very very close with the other members. Demo........... Today, there were some of them putting him down, and there wasn't anyone who stood the other way, so I just kept quiet. But I'm quite sadden. I've always thought that although not every fan likes every member, at least they won't put anyone down. Maybe laugh at them, with good humour, but...not in a bad way. Seems like not everyone's like me.

Oh well.

You're not alone on this! I find it hard to tolerate fans who dislike a certain member ... I find it quite disturbing when people claim they're a fan of a group yet dislike or disregard the presence of the member they dislike. I believe if you like a group, somehow you'll grow to like all the members ... With a group like Arashi, it's not that hard at all :)

I've always felt a little bit particularly protective about Jun about this. It does come off that he isn't as close to the other members and his performances are always so diva-esque and hence he has a "colder" image compared to the other four. But in the end I always felt like.. 别人不支持，没关系，我支持好了！Cos I think Jun has shown more personality than the diva, DoS, and individual side of him.
I have a friend who semi-likes Arashi but she often puts down riida and sometimes I feel a little irritated because I feel it's just not really liking the whole group if you don't like their leader! But I guess some people find they can appreciate Arashi this way too. Maybe it sounds a little harsh or presumptuous, but I would just shrug it off and think it's their loss of another bit of joy.

Me too. I'm sadden when I come across such fans, but well they support the group in their own way, and I mine. I just keep myself to likeminded fans!

I don't know whether this is applicable anymore. Cuz lately he has been blatantly showing his love for other members on-screen.
I was quite indifferent towards him in the beginning, but grew to like him as I was exposed to lots of Arashi goodness. XDDDDD Really, one just can not disregard his kindness.

I've heard quite awful comments before regarding this, that his acts of affection doesn't seem well received by the rest of arashi, compared to acts of other members. =X But he really dotes on the group ne, I think.

Well, they should watch their recent appearances on Tokudane, Mezamashi, and Sakigake Ongaku Vegas. Lately he blends pretty well with the group's conversation, making occasional jokes that are well received by the other members. I guess you can say that he is more open now. Arashi as a group is actually more tightly-knit in the recent years which I believe you probably have noticed. But yeah, it's really difficult to change people's opinion once they're already set on it. I guess they only need more time to appreciate him. One of my friend who is an Arashi fan also dislikes Jun due to his diva-esque attitude. Haha... Well....

Though you do not like a member of that group, you don't have to be overly vocal about it right? I believe we all should respect each other's opinions and not criticise too much. Anywayz, I'll see you on Sunday then! I'm dragging my 2 sisters along with me.

First I agree, it makes me sad too that some people always put Jun down. Some 'fans' as they call themselves. Like, Dude. If you claim you like Arashi, you should like all of them -_- It upsets me at times seeing Jun being put down so much.

True, I agree, he tries too hard to be whatchacallit-diva-esque(?) in concerts, tries too hard to that it can be pretty off-putting. Hmmm. However, I find that side of him that tries too hard, but not quite successful, makes him more human. I find that I can relate to his actions :)
Like the other members of Arashi, there is a distinct side of them where you can see why they are idols, but there's also a side in which brings them down from that high stage you cannot reach, and show them to you that they are also still mere humans.

Although I may be put off by some of Jun's performances, although I may at certain times question myself again and again 'why he is my ichiban?', but in the end, I ALWAYS come to the conclusion that he is indeed my ichiban, no matter what.

I have arrived at the conclusion in which I no longer have or need a reason as to why I like Jun so much. XD

Anyways, what was that about not being affectionate to other members on screen? Him and Leader is practically scandalous XD Not like Ohmiya of course, but we can see how fond they are of each other~ And we know Jun makes sure to watch every member's dramas <33
