The Greatest Drama Ending....?
Jun. 18th, 2011 04:03 pm
Final 2 episodes to go!
And boy, I don't have the slightest idea how it will end. Five scenerios:
1. Dok Go Jin survives and fulfils his promise to give Gu Ae Jeong the future he planned out - to propose and marry her.
2. Dok Go Jin survives but like what Rep Moon said, the removal of a time limit changed his perspective of which is more important: love or career? And he decides to hide the relationship (I am sure he will not end it).
3. Dok Go Jin falls into a state of coma. Gu Ae Jeong gets shown by Rep Moon what Jin had prepared for her and also discovers the ring which Dok Go Jin entrusted to her nephew. Touched, she decides to stay by his side and try to wake him. In doing so, she outs herself as his girlfriend.
4. Dok Go Jin dies and Rep Moon decides to show the press evidence that Jin loved Gu Ae Jeong. However, after she informs Gu Ae Jeong of her intention, the latter persuades her not to do so - to protect the reputation Dok Go Jin prided himself upon and to protect the nature of their relationship (that she didn't date him to use him). So, Gu Ae Jeong continues to struggle in showbiz all the while being the same strong person Jin liked her for.
5. Dok Go Jin dies and Rep Moon manages to send those evidence to the press.
Thing is, the writers have done such a good job in laying the foundations for different endings, so no one can actually make a prediction. No matter which is chosen (or even better, one that is outside of the five scenerios above), it won't feel disjoint from the front.
I will surely cry myself to sleep if Dok Go Jin dies. That scene in episode 14 where he cried on the hospital bed upon realised that he won't get to see Gu Ae Jeong before the surgery (potentially their final meeting) was so heartwrenching. He had only cried twice in this drama. The first time was when he thought that Gu Ae Jeong had decided to start with the doctor and will leave him. The second time was this, when he thought that he will be leaving Gu Ae Jeong. Oh, my heart. Heart Break.
Now I can't wait.
1. Recommendation from mousie
2. This screencap omg

Does it make you want to fly to Japan like, immediately, for the hanami? (Oh, but I guess the season is long over...but still!!)
I'm still not very hooked onto it yet. I watched most of episode 1 disinterested, and then episode 2 somewhat interested. I wonder if episode 3 will work its magic and make me a loyal fan. We'll see.
( The Hong Sisters do rule the romcom genre. )

( I'm really a tv person! )
